Central Division Champs
2007  2008  2009

2005 was an interesting season for The $lick Ones.  After a slow start, RB Ahman Green got hurt, and then the team got into the playoff race.  Not typically the way success is built, but it was enough to have the team in the hunt for the Central division title and first playoff appearance.  The question is, what happens now.  The main thing they did in the offseason was bring back QBs Drew Bledsoe and Drew Brees.  Then, they added some more offensive punch in RB Reuben Droughns and WR T.J. Houshmanzada.  They opted not to make any additions on defense, a move that may prove wise if the offensive upgrades contribute, because that has long been the problem for this team.

2006 Outlook:
"A season of 5 wins and a possible second place showing in what is looking like a weak Central division is possible," was the prognosis for 2005.  Mission accomplished.  .  The key is adding to that in 2006.  If Brees and Brooks play well, Droughns continues to be a 1,000 yard rusher, and "Who's your daddy" and Keyshawn Johnson can be great weapons with Derrick Mason this is a team that can play with anyone in the Central.  In LB Lance Briggs takes another step toward superstar status in 2006 they may hit the 6 win mark, and with an upset, 7, and end the playoff drought.
